May 21st, 2026
At 6:30 p.m.

Where:
Missoula Butterfly House and Insectarium
1075 South Ave W Suite 2 Missoula, Montana

Description:
Rescheduled from this March: Bumble bees are the pandas of the insect world—charismatic, a little clumsy, and facing real conservation challenges. Michelle Toshack with the Xerces Society will explore the ecology of Montana’s bumble bees and share how community scientists are helping fill critical data gaps and guide conservation through the Montana Bumble Bee Atlas. Michelle Toshack is a Livingston-based conservation biologist with the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, where she works with community scientists to conserve Montana’s wild bumble bees. She holds a master’s degree in pollination ecology and has spent her career building community-powered conservation programs across North America.
