Originally used as a trail crossing in the lush Mission Valley, Charlo was named after Chief Charlo of the Flathead Indian Tribe. Charlo upholds the history of the region, most notably with the Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana and the nearby National Bison Range. The valley also offers lodging, dining and shopping, and is ideal for bird-watching on Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge.
Stop and grab a bite to eat at Ninepipes Lodge. Not only do they serve delicious meals, but the view from the dining room is incredible.
