There’s “the great outdoors,” and then there’s Western Montana—a wonderland of outdoor discovery among some of the finest landscapes the world has to offer. If you’re going to play outside, do your adventure a favor and play in paradise. Take a walk in the woods, Western Montana style…that is, lace up your trail shoes and set out on a trek through jaw-dropping terrain under the most expansive blue sky you’ll ever see. There’s really no end to discovery in Glacier Country’s outdoor playground. And while hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, off-roading and rafting are among some of the best ways to explore our outdoors, we’re more than just an adrenaline fix. Montana offers a sense of place, where just breathing in the fresh mountain air is nothing short of heavenly.
When there are wildfires, here are a few things to keep in mind: You’re safe. Most wildland fires, when they happen, are in the back country, miles from civilization and any structures. Montana is home to 3,443,038 acres of wilderness, and most fires happen there. If, by chance, a wildland fire gets close to a community, our firefighting experts communicate, evacuate and communicate some more.
