Sčilíp sits along the Flathead River on the Flathead Indian Reservation, where the Flathead and Jocko rivers meet. The recent name change honors this confluence of waterways as well as the area’s deep cultural and historical roots. Visitors can stop by the local coffee shop and explore the nearby 18,500-acre CSKT Bison Range, home to bison, black bears, elk, deer and over 200 bird species. A local favorite, Dixon Melons are grown right here and sold at the Dixon Melon farmstand during the summer harvest, as well as at farmers markets in Missoula and Whitefish.
