The UM School of Music is proud to present the The 46th Annual UM Buddy DeFranco Jazz Festival on Thursday & Friday, March 12-13, 2026. Collaborating with schools throughout the North West and guest artist from across the country. Come enjoy the countless performances and good Jazz right here in Missoula!

We are excited to host a phenomenal crew of award-winning artists and educators including Los Angeles based trombonist Erik Hughes, pianist Barb Catlin, Kris Johnson (trumpet), saxophonist Amanda Gardier, Molly Redfield (bass) and Los Angeles based drum set artist Lauren Ellis.

Concerts each night at 7:30 pm in the Dennison Theatre featuring our guest artists and UM jazz bands!
