Description:
On March 14, 2026, Star Meadows Ranch will host Rhythm & Roots, an indoor music event celebrating the depth, talent, and community of Montana’s local music scene. Set just outside Whitefish, this one-day gathering brings together a diverse lineup of regional artists for an immersive evening of live performances, late-night DJs, and family-friendly outdoor space.
The event features a standout roster of Montana musicians, including Jake Simpson and Andy Dunnigan of The Lil Smokies, members of 20 Grand, John Dunnigan, Brent Jameson Trio, Smokering Drifters, Christiane Hinterman, Kelly Diane, and Rylee Mix. Together, the lineup spans Americana, rock, folk, and roots-inspired sounds, showcasing artists deeply connected to Montana’s music culture.
All live music will take place indoors, offering a warm and intimate concert experience during the winter season. Outdoors, guests will find space to gather around fire pits, relax under the stars, and enjoy an open area where kids can play and hang out throughout the evening.
In addition to live music, Rhythm & Roots will offer a full range of amenities designed to make the night seamless and memorable. Attendees can enjoy food trucks, an full bar, and late-night DJs to close out the evening. Shuttle service to and from Whitefish will be available, along with onsite lodging for guests who wish to stay overnight at the ranch.
Rhythm & Roots is more than a concert—it’s a community-focused celebration of Montana musicians, local culture, and shared experience in one of the Flathead Valley’s most scenic settings.
A portion of sponsorship proceeds will benefit the Resilient Strings Foundation, a Montana-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting the mental health and medical care needs of working musicians across Montana. Through wellness grants, access-to-care partnerships, and community-supported funding initiatives like Roots & Rhythm, the foundation helps ensure artists can continue creating the music that brings communities together.
