Who needs a shiny ball in Times Square when you can ring in the New Year the Montana way—with a Fish Drop in Whitefish? The Firebrand Hotel’s Second Annual Fish Drop is back-- bigger and badder.
Start the night with regionally-inspired dinner features while you get in the party mood with foot-tapping tunes by local legend John Dunnigan from 6-9p. If Jimmy Buffett, James Taylor and John Prine were merged into one, the result would be John Dunnigan.
Then, get your groove on while you count down to midnight with Brent Jameson & the Sordid Seeds from 9–12:30a. A blend of blues, reggae, soul, rock and roots, this expressive Whitefish band features gritty vocals, smoky guitar, horn flourishes, tight grooves, and a soulful edge.
Finally, grab your complimentary glass of sparkling and gather outside to watch as an illuminated 8-foot fish descends from the top of the Firebrand. When that giant fish drops, it’s pure Whitefish magic—small-town charm and big-sky energy.
