Recognized as one of the best marathons in the country by Runner’s World and The BibRave 100, the Missoula Marathon returns June 26–28, 2026 for a weekend packed with races and community events. Festivities include the Runners Expo on June 26–27, the 3-Mile Beer Run on June 26, the Tony Banovich 5K on June 27, and the crowd-favorite Missoula Kids Marathon, a fun and non-competitive 1.2-mile run where every child receives a race bib, cape, medal, and goodie bag. The Missoula Marathon and Half Marathon take place on June 28, featuring flat, fast, USATF-certified courses that begin in the scenic countryside and finish in historic downtown Missoula. The marathon course is also a sanctioned Boston Qualifier, making it a favorite for runners chasing personal records and bucket-list race experiences.
