Description:
Please join Baroque Music Montana for another fab concert, this time in our brand-new Harper Hall at the Roosevelt Center!
Highlighting what was the king of string instruments from about 1500 to 1700, the viola da gamba, you’ll get a chance to explore this instrument’s plangent sound, harmonic richness, and near-boundless range. You’ll hear sweet melancholy, rustic dance, and bristling virtuosity, in a program that will display every facet of what’s sure to become your new favorite member of the string family.
Music of Josquin, Buxtehude, Krieger, Jarzębski, Marais, and Hume.
Artists: Carrie Krause, baroque violin John Lenti, theorbo/lute Matthew Zucker & Eric Tinkerhess, viola da gamba
