Description:
Grammy-nominated New Orleans powerhouse Tank and The Bangas are bringing their electrifying live show to Montana in 2026 — performing at The ELM in Bozeman on January 27th and the Top Hat in Missoula on January 28th.
Blending funk, soul, hip-hop, spoken word, and jazz into a sound that’s completely their own, Tank and The Bangas have earned a reputation as one of the most dynamic and creative bands on the scene today. Led by the charismatic Tarriona “Tank” Ball, the group first turned heads after winning NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest in 2017, and have since continued to captivate audiences with their boundless energy, sharp lyricism, and joyful experimentation.
Their 2022 album Red Balloon — nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album — showcases the band’s fearless artistry, combining poetic storytelling with irresistible grooves. Whether they’re getting the crowd to dance, laugh, or tear up, every Tank and The Bangas show is a celebration of music in its most vibrant form. Montanans may remember the band lighting up KettleHouse Amphitheater while opening for Trombone Shorty in 2022 — and it was an absolute blast.
