Zootown Arts Community Center

Description:
This course will introduce you to intaglio techniques and guide you through making your own plates and original print editions. All experience levels welcome, from beginners to experienced printmakers!
Printmaking methods discussed will include copper etching, drypoint, and others (depending on interest).
Intaglio is a general term for several methods of printmaking in which ink is transferred to paper via marks incised in the surface of a printing plate (such as copper or plastic). Damp paper is pushed through a printing press and the pressure allows the paper to absorb the ink sitting below the surface of the plate.
Class will be held on Wednesdays.
