Description:
Quebec’s High Energy Folk Trio
Bon Débarras, an award-winning trio from Quebec, unites the worlds of music, dance and poetry with their three-part harmonies, step-dancing, and body percussion. With four instruments among them – guitar, banjo, violin and harmonica - artists Dominic Desrochers, Jean-François Dumas and Véronique Plasse fuse traditional American and French-Canadian folk styles with contemporary rhythms from around the world to produce a unique musical blend. Their repertoire is entirely original and their sonic fusion brings an inventive, fun, and high-energy show that is filled with daring jigging and vivid percussion, all steeped with unambiguous Quebec flavors. The name Bon Débarras means “good riddance” in French, as they promise to “get rid of sorrow and sadness” when listening to their music.
