Set in the Renaissance, Something Rotten! follows brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom as they struggle to compete with the success of their contemporary, William Shakespeare. In their desperation, the brothers consult a soothsayer who predicts the next big thing in theatre: musicals! As they hilariously attempt to create the world's first musical, chaos ensues, leading to mistaken identities, outrageous production numbers, and laugh-out-loud moments.
