Retreat Details

Friday, April 11 – Sunday, April 13, 2025
In-person at the Namchak Retreat Ranch: Bodhi House
Hot Springs, Montana

About this Retreat

Throughout the weekend, participants will explore foundational Buddhist meditation practices, including:

Shamata (Calm Abiding) Meditation, to quiet the mind and cultivate focus.
Loving-Kindness (Metta) Meditation, to nurture good will for oneself and others.
Tonglen (Compassion practice), to expand our capacity to extend compassion even in challenging situations.

This retreat is offered in person only to provide an immersive and focused environment, free from distractions.

These practices will be paired with “Sangha Skills”—relational exercises developed by Aaron Stern and the Academy for the Love of Learning™. These interactive sessions offer practical ways to bring more awareness, presence, and compassion into daily interactions and relationships. Together, the meditations and sangha skills provide tools to deepen self-awareness, foster meaningful connections, and navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and clarity.

Who is this Retreat For?

This retreat is perfect for anyone interested in starting and developing a meditation practice, existing meditators looking for a space to deepen their practice, and anyone who is called to embody more Loving Kindness, Compassion, and ease in their everyday lives.

The retreat will provide ample time for solo practice, reflection, and community engagement. It is perfect for locals, those who are new to Namchak, and those looking to connect with the Namchak Sangha.
