Description:
Roots reggae icons Steel Pulse will celebrate their monumental 50th Anniversary Tour with two unforgettable Montana performances in 2025: first at The ELM in Bozeman on May 13th, then at The Wilma in Missoula on May 14th.
For fifty years, Steel Pulse has been a powerhouse in reggae music. Hailing from Birmingham, England, the band burst onto the scene with their 1978 debut album Handsworth Revolution, earning critical acclaim and establishing themselves as a leading force in the genre. Their 1984 album, Earth Crisis, garnered a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Recording, setting the stage for what would become a historic career.
In 1987, Steel Pulse made history as the first non-Jamaican reggae band to win a Grammy for Best Reggae Album with their LP Babylon The Bandit. Since then, they’ve been nominated for Grammy Awards for their groundbreaking albums Victims, Rastafari Centennial, Rage and Fury, Living Legacy, African Holocaust, and most recently, their 2019 release Mass Manipulation.
Steel Pulse has delivered some incredible performances in Montana over the years, and we’re thrilled to welcome them back for this very special tour (photos). Don’t miss your chance to witness reggae history!
