Description:
Pianist and forest ecologist Mark Kreider presents a solo piano recital featuring wildfire-inspired piano pieces by historical and living composers. This program will explore the music and ecology of fire, including the importance of fire as an ecosystem process and how we as societies respond to and grieve the impacts of increasingly extreme wildfires. This recital is co-sponsored by the University of Montana School of Music and the University of Montana Wilderness Institute. Admission is free and open to all.
