Description:
Neotraditional/alt-country artist, Paul Cauthen, is headed back to Missoula for a live concert at The Wilma on October 28, 2024.
Nicknamed Big Velvet for his distinctive baritone voice, Paul Cauthen takes alternative country music and splices it with a touch of swaggerous funk — both in sound and attitude. Listen to his hit song “Cocaine Country Dancing,” off his 2019 album, Room 41, and you’ll get a fun sample of Cauthen’s sound.
His 2022 album release, Country Coming Down, is filled with irreverent songs like (expletives incoming)… “Country as Fuck,” “Fuck You Money,” and “Country Clubbin‘.” Holler.Country wrote “It’s safe to assume that most have never heard anything in country, or in any other genre for that matter, quite like Country Coming Down.”
Cauthen released the singles “Black on Black” and “Hot Damn” earlier this year and just released his latest single ““Sweetheart From The Trailer Park.” His forthcoming album Black on Black is slated to drop on October 25th, right before the show in Missoula!
The last time Cauthen came through Montana, he sold out his shows at The Wilma and ELM with ease (photos). Don’t miss out this time around — get your tickets ASAP!
