Recreate Responsibly, Montanans
Western Montana offers winter wonders around every bend—natural treasures that make us feel worlds away, yet close to home. It’s our own winter wonderland, with homegrown thrills on the slopes, warm welcomes in neighboring small towns, and always something new to discover. It’s the place where we spend snow-covered days and firelit nights, soak in the magic of the season, and support all things local.
We embrace the quiet, snowshoeing our favorite trails and finding new ones every chance we get. We tap into the power of winter too, snowmobiling fresh powder whether around town or deep in the backcountry. From Nordic skiing to fat biking to dog sledding, winter adventure—right here at home—is endless. There's always another trail to explore, another run to carve, a frozen waterfall we haven't hiked to (or climbed up yet). There’s always more Montana to explore in Glacier Country.
While you’re out there, please be mindful of your impact. Treat this land with respect and practice responsible recreation, ensuring its preservation for generations to come. Thank you for taking care in the Treasure State and leaving nothing but tracks in the snow.
