#1 Missoula visitor attractions, nation's largest smokejumper base. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Tours last about 45 minutes and takes visitors through the working smokejumper facility. Murals, videos, reconstructed lookout tower, exhibits of men & women fighting wildfire 1939 to present day. Visitors will learn about jump gear, parachutes, cargo, training and aircraft.
