The Missoula Art Museum is Missoula’s free contemporary art museum. MAM is housed in the former Carnegie Library in downtown Missoula, which was renovated in 2006 and now contains eight galleries. The permanent collection at MAM contains more than 2,300 objects and includes the Contemporary American Indian Art Collection. This special collection is the largest collection of contemporary Native American art in the state, and the largest holdings of work by Jaune Quick-to-See Smith (Salish Kootenai) of any museum. The Missoula Art Park is an outdoor sculpture park located adjacent to the museum galleries and features seasonal installations. MAM also has a library, bookstore, and a large classroom, complete with a printing press.

Call 406.728.0447 or log on to missoulaartmuseum.org to receive detailed information for art classes, exhibitions, and events. Admission is always FREE!
