Description:
Old-timey singer-songwriter Pokey LaFarge is bringing his signature retro sound to Montana in 2025! Catch him live at The ELM in Bozeman on Friday, March 7th, and at the Top Hat in Missoula on Saturday, March 8th. Folk group Cicada Rhythm will open both shows.
Born in Bloomington, IL, Pokey LaFarge is celebrated for his eclectic mix of Americana, early jazz, ragtime, country blues, Western swing, Vaudeville, and Appalachian folk. His timeless sound shines through in top tracks like “Fine to Me,” “Fuck Me Up,” and “End of My Rope.”
A seasoned performer, Pokey has graced NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, The Marty Stuart Show, Conan, and The Late Show With David Letterman. Beyond music, he’s shown his acting chops in CMT’s “Sun Records,” Netflix’s The Devil All the Time, and the upcoming musical drama film O’Dessa.
His latest album, Rhumba Country, was released earlier this year. No Depression praised his “easy grace when he sings” and said the album’s “good vibrations will inspire souls of all persuasions.”
