Description:
The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation is hitting the road, bringing their annual film festival to five different cities around the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. Mountainfilm on Tour features a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colorado.
The tour will end with two events in the Flathead Valley: first in Whitefish at the O’Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center on Thursday, March 21st, and then in Bigfork at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, March 22nd. Both evenings will feature the same set of films that explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission of using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world.
The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation (BMWF) has been hosting Mountainfilm on Tour since 2007 as a fundraiser for their hands-on stewardship projects in the 1.6-million-acre Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. Each summer, BMWF hosts 40+ Volunteer Adventure trips that open trails and restore habitat while providing unique, low-cost opportunities for people to experience one of the most remote Wilderness areas in the lower-48.
The doors for the events open 6 PM, and the films start at 7 PM. Tickets for Mountainfilm on Tour in Whitefish and Bigfork are on sale now at www.bmwf.org/mountainfilm. Tickets will also be available the day of the event at the door, if not sold out. The cost for tickets is $20 in advance, and $25 at the door.
