Description:
New Zealand-bred, Australia-based electronic producer, Opiuo, will return to Montana for two concerts this Spring 2024, and both shows are on 4/20 weekend! He’ll headline The Wilma in Missoula on Friday, April 19th and The Elm in Bozeman on Saturday, April 20th. Fellow electronic artists Tiedye Ky and Potions will open for each performance.
Opiuo is an award-winning veteran producer, multi-instrumentalist, and pioneer of the glitch-hop genre. Get a taste of his signature sound and check out these tracks: “Jelly,” “On Your Side,” and “Robo Booty.”
Since his start in the late 2000s, he’s released 5 full-length albums, 10 EPs, and a myriad of singles. His album, Meraki, won the New Zealand Music Award for Best Electronic Album in 2014. He received another nomination for the same award in 2016 for his album Omniversal. In 2022, Opiuo released his latest studio album, A Shape of Sound. Last year, he released the live recording from Red Rocks, Opiuo & The Opulent Orchestra.
