The mountain community of Heart Butte, one of the oldest traditional communities on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, is the home of Heart Butte Indian Days. This four-day, traditional Blackfeet festival and pow wow is held annually in August, and everyone is encouraged to attend. Towering above Heart Butte is a mountain known to the Blackfeet as Moskitsipahpi-istuki, or Heart Butte.
