Glacier Vehicle
Reservation System

To enhance the visitor experience, Glacier National Park has again implemented a vehicle reservation system for the 2024 peak season—May 24 through September 8. This system effectively mitigates congestion within the park and is applicable to the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road, the North Fork and Many Glacier during peak hours—6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Each location has unique details and requires a separate reservation, available now for 120-day advance purchase on a daily rolling basis. Learn more here, and secure your reservation here.

Spring Hiking
and Biking

While snow in the mountains of Western Montana will linger, lower elevations have already shed their wintry blankets. This means that trails closer to town are open and ready for hiking, and one of the easiest ways to explore Glacier Country is by foot. Check out these seven easy spring hikes. Spring is also the time to bike the famously scenic Going-to-the-Sun Road before it opens to vehicular traffic. Rent an e-bike from Glacier Guides for a little extra boost. Also check out Camas Road, and if you've got small children in tow, pedal the Apgar Bike Path.
