Western Montana's Glacier Country
Story One

Welcome to Winter in Glacier Country
Our "Still Here" Campaign and Guiding Glacier Series Both Inspire

As we transition into late fall and winter, we're excited to share the next phase of our "Still Here" campaign. This effort celebrates Glacier Country’s beauty and resilient communities while reinforcing our commitment to responsible tourism.

This fall, we're inspiring locals and regional travelers to enjoy the shoulder season with scenic drives, hikes and seasonal events. As winter arrives, we’re expanding our outreach to key markets across the U.S. and Canada, showcasing everything from ski adventures to cozy fireside moments.

Additionally, our new "Guiding Glacier" video series features local guides and business owners sharing Glacier Country’s magic across all four seasons, helping visitors connect more deeply with the region.

Tourism Sales Update

It’s been a productive quarter for promoting our region (which was nominated for Prevue’s 2024 Visionary Award) in business-to-business markets. We’ve been actively engaging with meeting planners and responding to RFPs, with demand for retreats and events on the rise. The motorcoach tour season has been busy, with increased last-minute requests for on-the-ground support. We’re also positioning Western Montana as a key destination for international fly-drive itineraries. Learn how our efforts can support your business.

Public Relations Update

This quarter, our communications team launched Don’t Add Fuel to the Fire, a free,
30-minute online crisis communication course designed for visitor-centric businesses and staff who may receive questions about wildland fire and smoke conditions. The press release for this program was picked up by six publications across Montana. Adding to the $8.7 million in earned media for FY 2024, Western Montana continues to receive positive media attention, highlighting responsible recreation and sustainability.
