Welcoming Summer Western Montana Style
Glacier Country’s Warm Season in Full Swing

Springtime is officially a wrap and summer has arrived in Western Montana. Glacier Country has been busy promoting the region with our warm season campaign—which includes print placement in Northwest Travel and Yellowstone Journal and digital placements through Sojern, TripAdvisor, Madden Media, Matador Network and RoadRUNNER. We have been working with our CVBs and the state to bring in digital influencers and journalists to showcase our slice of Big Sky Country. The marketing plan and narrative for year 2016 – 2017 has been completed and presented to the Tourism Advisory Council at the June meeting, and it was approved.

Our 2017 – 2018 Glacier Country Travel Guide is out and about on shelves everywhere. If you’d like free copies for your business, call Kristi at 406.532.3234. We’re also wrapping up our much-anticipated redesign of glaciermt.com, which will be launching very soon…be on the lookout.

Public Relations and
Tourism Sales Update

With the hiring of our new Public Relations and Earned Media Manager, Lucy Beighle, the department has been working on many exciting projects. We are currently planning and hosting summer visits from multiple journalists and digital influencers, as well as pitching story ideas and attending site tours of new businesses in the region.

Meanwhile, our Tourism Sales Manager, Debbie Picard, has traveled to trade shows, has been prepping for our September Meeting Planner FAM and hosted a post-FAM trip in Glacier Country with Brand USA. This spring, Debbie attended the Rocky Mountain International Roundup in Washington, D.C., where she met with international tour operators from Europe and Australia along with domestic-based international inbound receptive tour operators. Following Roundup, Debbie hosted a post-FAM trip with Brand USA, which traveled throughout Glacier Country. Information on Debbie’s trade show leads is available on the Partner Center.

Detailed marketing personnel reports are available on the Partner Center. For more information about our Communication and Tourism Sales Departments, email Lucy or Debbie at lucy@glaciermt.com or debbie@glaciermt.com.
