Glacier Country Welcomes Autumn
Montana Returns to the Big Screen with Warren Miller

After quite the summer season, and with winter just around the corner, the Glacier Country Tourism staff has been working on numerous projects to promote our region. Switching gears from summer’s splendor, we are looking forward to promoting our favorite shoulder season: fall. Our warm season campaign—which included multiple digital placements in Sojern, Matador NetworkRoad RunnerTrip Advisor and geo-target markets—has wrapped up.

In the meantime, we’ve launched our fall campaign, and we’re gearing up for our winter campaign with Warren Miller. The premiere of this year’s Warren Miller Entertainment film Line of Descent—featuring various locations in Glacier Country—kicked off its tour in Salt Lake City, UT, Portland, OR and Bozeman, MT on Friday, October 13, and will screen in many of our domestic and international key markets.

Public Relations and
Tourism Sales Update

Glacier Country Tourism’s Public Relations and Earned Media Manager, Lucy Guthrie Beighle, has been working on various projects to increase tourism in our region. She has hosted journalists and social influencers in our area to promote Western Montana as a travel destination, worked diligently on updating and keeping media current on our fire season and has traveled extensively throughout our region to meet with many of our partners and do site tours. Just let her know if you want her to come and visit!

Meanwhile, our Tourism Sales Manager, Debbie Picard, has been busy promoting Glacier Country to meeting planners and international and domestic tour operators. Recently, Debbie attended International Roundup in Bismarck and IPW in Washington D.C., where she met with international tour operators. In conjunction with Montana Office of Tourism and Business Development and Discover Kalispell, Glacier Country hosted a business-to-business workshop in Kalispell to inform partners about how to work with international tour operators. Fall is in full swing, which means that the winter trade show season is coming up quickly and Debbie is scheduled to promote Western Montana's Glacier Country to both domestic and international markets. Upcoming shows include IMEX (Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings and Events), Connect PNW (meetings and conventions) and NTA (domestic group tour). Trade show leads are available on the Partner Center.

Detailed marketing personnel reports are available on the Partner Center as well. For more information about our earned media and tourism sales departments, email Lucy or Debbie at lucy@glaciermt.com or debbie@glaciermt.com.
