MEET IN MONTANA

Spring Meeting Planner FAM

This spring we will be introducing meeting planners to Western Montana’s Glacier Country on a tour through the region that will include a firsthand look at our meeting offerings. We’ll explore Missoula’s thriving music, brewery and culinary scenes, along with meeting space at flagship hotels and the University of Montana. Next, the FAM will take us to Kalispell where history, culture and proximity to Glacier National Park make it a prime meeting destination. We’ll wrap up the FAM in the charming town of Whitefish, visiting various locations offering distinct meeting venues, including lodge-type convention space, followed by on-site activities at the world-class Whitefish Mountain Resort.

For a live look at what it’s like to meet in Montana, join us June 18 – 22 on twitter and instagram at #MeetInMontana, watch this meeting planner video or read more about FAM tours in Montana. If you are interested in participating in a Meeting Planner FAM, send an email to our Tourism Sales Manager, Debbie Picard, at debbie@glaciermt.com to apply. Please include the type of meetings you plan, how many meetings you plan per year, attendance, and whether you have ever planned a meeting in Montana before.

5 Convention Hotels
to Meet at in Montana

Western Montana's Glacier Country has been gaining momentum with meeting planners looking for a unique destination experience to hold their next meeting or convention. Our Montana-style western hospitality welcomes meeting planners and attendees with authentic experiences outside of meeting rooms and customized options for inside convention spaces.

Some planners might be surprised to find that Western Montana has significant ballroom space at convention hotels located in our larger cities of Kalispell, Missoula and Whitefish. Missoula boasts the largest meeting space of the three cities, with 33,400 square feet at the University of Montana and 22,000 square feet at its largest convention hotel. Kalispell’s largest convention hotel offers 14,000 square feet of function space, while Whitefish has two convention hotels with roughly 11,000 square feet of space between the two. Find out what sets each convention hotel apart and how to make your next meeting memorable here.

5 ½ FREE Perks When You Meet in Montana

Everyone loves the word FREE, but we’ve all been conditioned to assume it’s too good to be true. If you’re choosing to hold your meeting or convention in Western Montana’s Glacier Country, let us show you how we do FREE and how it can help the bottom line for both meeting planners and conference attendees. Let’s begin with FREE hotel shuttles from our two regional airports—Missoula International Airport (MSO) and Glacier Park International (FCA) in Kalispell. Most hotels offer free shuttles into town as well. Parking is FREE at all of our convention hotels, along with FREE Wi-Fi in guest rooms and some conference spaces. Stay connected with FREE business center access and stay healthy with FREE fitness center, pool and hot tub access. Montana does not have a state sales tax on purchases or on food and beverage minimums. It’s not quite FREE, but at a low 7%, Montana’s lodging tax is much lower than neighboring states (10% in Whitefish includes their resort tax).
