Description:
This unconventional concert program combines literature and music in exploration of the life of the great Enlightenment philosopher, Voltaire. This marks BaMM inaugural foray into vocal chamber music with Grammy award-winning tenor Aaron Sheehan from Boston and angelic, light soprano Arwen Meyers from Portland. Virtuoso New York viola da gambist Sarah Stone and baroque violinist Carrie Krause round out this program, designed by BaMM stalwart lutenist John Lenti. Voltaire's extraordinary life is brought to life through narration and works by Marais, Rameau, Forquarey, Francouer, Purcell, and Bach.
