Where:

University of Montana Oval

Description:

Come see The Merry Wives of Windsor on August 26th and Henry IV Part I on August 27th at the University of Montana Oval in Missoula! Rumor has it that Queen Elizabeth herself commissioned this play because she wanted to see the “fat knight in love”. In Merry Wives, Shakespeare’s lovable loser, Falstaff tries to seduce Mistress Page and Mistress Ford, but is (perhaps unsurprisingly) outsmarted by both. Missoula band Amalgarythm will open the show at 5:30. While King Henry IV is burdened with escalating rebellion, his son Prince Hal has forsaken all responsibility to carouse with the drunken but fun-loving Falstaff. But Hal has to make a choice and will eventually have to prove his worth. As always, the play is completely FREE. Bring a picnic, a blanket, and enjoy a night of professional theatre under the Big Sky. For a full tour schedule or for more information, visit http://shakespeareintheparks.org/
