Winter is one of the most magical times to visit Glacier Country.
All the stunning scenery is still here, but covered with
a beautiful layer of white. And the weather may surprise you! Because we're
on the Western slopes of the Rockies, we're protected from most of the harsh,
cold winds that create havoc.

To the delight of winter snow sport enthusiasts, relatively
mild temperatures along with plenty of snow each winter make Glacier Country
one of the best-kept secrets in the ski industry.
Getting to Glacier Country in winter is as easy as it is
during summer. There are daily commercial flights into both Glacier Park
International Airport. Amtrak runs all winter and stops at Libby, Whitefish,
West Glacier, Essex, East Glacier, Browning and Cut Bank.
The lodging links can help you find a nice, cozy place to
curl up when you're done playing for the day.
